He has handed Minecraft development to Jens Bergensten , and is now working on other projects.

Village

Hey guys , today I will be writing about things concerned with villages.

Villagers

     Villagers are human figures ( with big noses ) dressed in one of five different coloured robes depending on their job in the village . They can be found in villages , either wandering or within different buildings - depending on their job . They also trade if you give them emeralds . Villagers may also hold loot in their houses , sometimes things that are valuable , and sometimes even the resources needed to make a trade. There's nothing better than getting a villager to pay to recover his items !

Iron Golems

     If you see a huge iron creature lumbering around a village , don't be alarmed . It's just your friendly
local iron golem , there to defend the villagers from hostile mob attacks . They spawn naturally in villages with more than 10 villagers .You can craft one for your safety too . All you need is four blocks of iron and a pumpkin.

Breeding of villagers 

Villagers can breed , creating cute baby villagers . Villagers will breed until the number of adults equals to 35 % of doors in the village , so if you want to encourage an increase of population , add doors !

Tip : Villagers can be attacked by zombies and turned into zombie villagers , and baby villagers will turn into baby zombies ! Eek ! So you should not stay overnight at a village , to be safe .

Redstone

Are you ready to get fully wired up to Redstone?

Hey guys ! Today I will be writing about Redstone and it's essentials .

Redstone ore :

          Redstone ore is the raw block from which you get about 4 - 5 pieces of Redstone dust . It can only be mined with a iron , gold or diamond pickaxe . Redstone ores are found deep underground , within 1 - 16 blocks from the bedrock layer. If you are going to mine for it , please remember the Important Rule of Minecraft ; never dig straight down as this can prevent you from dying .

Tip :

          To get a maximum amount of Redstone dust from a Redstone ore , you can use a *enchanted fortune pickaxe. This way , a single block of Redstone ore will be able to drop up to 8 pieces of Redstone dust.

Power sources :

          In a circuit , Redstone dust acts like a wire . To make it work , it will need a power source . They are Redstone torches , levers , detector rails (they only send a signal if a Minecart rides over it ) , Redstone blocks , Pressure plates , trapped chests , buttons , tripwire hooks ( only sends a signal when something touches it ) and daylight sensors .

*To  make an enchantment of any kind , you will need to craft a enchantment table first . The recipe is : one book , two diamonds and four blocks of obsidian .

Swords

Hi guys! So sorry that this week's post is so late .Today , I will be writing about something that I hope you are interested about ; swords ! If you are new to the game , fighting mobs will probably be very scary, but as the saying goes ; practice makes perfect , and you need a sword to fight , so lets get started !

Tip:

Once in the world, you should immediately start crafting tools , but the most important tool to be crafted is a sword if your difficulty is on, as it gets very dangerous with mobs.

Sword damage :

The amount of damage a sword does depends on the material it's made of . A wooden sword does the least damage whereas a diamond sword does the most.( A golden sword does the some damage as a wooden sword , so it makes sense why most people do not waste their gold on crafting golden swords . 

A wooden sword does :                  2 and a half hearts damage
A stone sword does :                       3 hearts damage
An iron sword does :                       7 hearts damage
A golden sword does :                     2 and a half hearts damage
A diamond sword does :                  8 hearts damage

A sword's durability : 

Each weapon has a limit of uses called durability . The sword which has the most durability is the diamond sword . Once you have used a weapon the maximum number of times, it breaks and disappears.

A wooden sword can last :                    60 uses    
                                                                 

A stone sword can last :                      132 uses                                                                                  
A iron sword can last :                        251 uses                                                                                    
A golden sword can last :                      33 uses                                                                                
A diamond sword can last :               1563 uses

Biomes and structures

          Hi guys! As the tittle says , today I
will be talking about biomes and structures.

There are many biomes and structures , they are : 

• Desert
• Desert Well
• Grassland
• Jungle
• Mixed Forest
• Mountain
• Mushroom Land
• Nether Ruins
• Ocean
• Pine Forest
• Stronghold
• Swamp
• The End
• Tundra
• Village

Since there are many biomes and structures, I will only talk about 5 of them today.

1)Desert:

 

  It is a very flat biome consisting of mostly sand, dead shrubs/bushes and cacti.No rain occurs in this biome. Sugarcane can sometimes be found next to water.

2)Desert well:

      It was first publicly introduced in 1.2.1.These well-like structures built of sandstone blocks and slabs only generate in the desert biome. Although assumed to be wells , their exact purpose and function is yet to be known. According to players , they are a rare sight. They could be related to the new sandstone blocks in the terrain.png.

3)Grassland :

       A relatively flat biomes with rolling hills and a large amount of tall grass( more than any othe type of biome ) . The occasional trees do exist, though very rarely.

4)Jungle :

       A biome was added in 1.2.1.It consist of jungle trees that can be up to 30 blocks high and two blocks wide.The landscape is lush and hilly. It is also the only biome that consists ferns and jungle trees. Leaf  'bushes' cover most of the jungle floor.

5)Mixed forest :

     A biome with many trees, occasional hills and a fair amount tall grass.Oak and birch trees grow in this biome. Mushrooms ,tall grass roses and flowers can occasionally be found .Forests can occasionally be generated as a technical biome in a plains biomes.

Okay , time to get started.

Today's post will be about Horses.(P.S.There is a new update for Minecraft PE! Update asap! )

Horses in general

   Horses are neutral mobs.They come in many different types of shapes , colours and sizes.To tame them, the player must first feed it. After that, the player will be able to ride the horse by pressing the 'Ride' button on the screen. Once on the horse , the player must put a saddle on it as to guide it and use it as a transportation.

Horse armour

    A horse armour is a optional decision.There are many types too.The materials are leather , gold , iron and diamond. Like normal armour that players are able to wear, horse armour protects the horse from damage.

    To put it on , the player must press the button 'Open' that is visible on the screen. The player will then be able to put on saddles and armour on the horse.

*Saddles can be found from villager huts and horse armour can be crafted from materials.

Horsy Health

     Every horse has a health bar, like players. It will only be visible to the player that is riding the horse. Once the bar is depleted , the horse will die.

     To regenerate it's health, players can feed it wheat or splash it with health potions.

Horse reproduction

    To get little horses/foals, players will first need to get two fully grown horses.Once you feed the both wheat , they will enter love mode and will go to one another.

    After a few moments , a small foal will appear and the player that is closest will get a few experience orbs.

Ores !!

Hello everybody, sorry for posting this so late in the week (I forgot coz I just finished my exam) .

  Anyway , today's post will be about ores !

Coal ore

Coal Ores can be found at almost any elevation ,inside caverns ,cliff faces ,and underground. A lump of coal can be mined from it using any type of pickaxe.  

Uses :

-make torches 

-fuel in a furnace

Diamond Ore :

Diamond Ore is generally considered as the most valuable ore in Minecraft . Adiamond can be mined from it using a Iron or Diamond pickaxe.

Diamond ores only appear on the bottom 17 layars of the map.

Tip: Using a pickaxe to mine diamond is recommended as it can yield up to 4 diamonds per ore block .

Emerald Ore :

An emerald ore drops 1 emerald when mined. It is only generated in Extreme Hills or Extreme Hills Edge biomes. It is also the only ore that  looks to be small gems embedded inside the ore , unlike the small , broken rectangles seen on other ores.  It is currently the rarest ore in Mincraft too.

Gold Ore :

Gold ores are found deep underground, and it only appears in the bottom 32 layers of the map.It can be mined with a Iron or better pickaxe and can also be smelted in a furnace to create Gold Ingots .

Iron Ore :

Iron Ores require a stone or better pickaxe  to be successfully mined . It must then be smelted to make Iron Ingots ; Iron Ingots can be used to make medium quality tools , armour , buckets , Flint and Steel and shears.

 

Lapis Lazuli Ore :  

This is an ore that is used to make blue dyes and decorative blocks.It drops 4-8 Lapis Lazuli shards , which can be used to create blue wool , carpets , Lapis Lazuli blocks and other dyes.

Redstone ore :

Redstone Ore is the form of a redstone when it is generated in the map . Redstone is a fictional mineral with magnetic and conductive properties, as it is used in all circuitry and compasses.

Minecraft Trading

Hi !   Today's blog will not be very informative because i am a bit tired. (Sorry!!)

As the title says , today's post will be about . . . . . TRADING !!!

Okay , now lets start from the beginning .

Trading is a type of game play. (like last week's blog )Players can ONLY trade with villagers. ( They are neutral mobs and live in villages around the world )

To trade items , first the player must go to a mine . They must then get emeralds to trade , as it is the only item villagers accept for trades . 

Once the player is holding a emerald, follow the steps below :

• Point at a villager
• Click the button 'Trade' displayed on the screen
• scroll through the items and select the one you want 
• Click the button 'Buy'

And . . . . . . .done !

You have made a trade !

Gameplays

Hi bloggers . I am sorry that I wrote this week's blog so late (     i was TOO busy ). Anyway,this weeks blog is about gameplays.

Today I am going to talk about 5 types of gameplays ,they are :-

1. Air bar - The air bar appears when a player goes underwater . While underwater, the air bar will                        slowly disappear . Once it has fully disappeared, the player's health will slowly deplete .

                   *The air bar will refill itself once the player resurfaces .

2. Armour bar - Armour absorbs part of the damage dealt to the player, including falling and fire                                   based damage.    

                  Every time the player takes damage, the armour loses its durability, and its protective capabilities will slowly diminish as it loses durability. The better material your armour is made of, the more punisment it will withstand.

* Players can also wear a Pumkin as a helmet.

3. Experience bar - Gathering experience points increases the players levels. Each level up will                                          reward the player with skill points.

4.Health bar -The health and damage system is based on a heart system. Each full heart contains two halves.All players have 10 hearts in total.When the total reaches zero, you will die. 

5. Hunger bar -Eating food will fill up the hunger bar , which is always draining slowly.The hunger bar does not deplete when playing on peaceful mode.

AWKWARD POTION :   EFFECT :      None

                                          BREWING : Nether wart 

MUNDANE POTION :    EFFECT:      None 

                                          BREWING:  Any brewing item except for nether wart.



FIRE RESISTANCE :      EFFECT :      Gives immunity to damage from fire, lava and ranged                                                                                   blaze attacks .

                                          BREWING :  Awkward potion + magma cream



HARMING :                     EFFECT :      Inflicts 3 hearts of damage
                                     
                                          BREWING :  Awkward potion + fermented spider eye +                                                              fermented spider eye



HEALTH :                        EFFECT :      Restores 3 hearts of health
                                      
                                          BREWING :  Awkward potion + Glistening  melons



POISON :                          EFFECT :     Poisons the player, reducing the health to half a                                              heart at most

                                          BREWING : Awkward potion + spider eye



REGENERATION :        EFFECT :       Restores health over time

                                         BREWING :   Awkward potion + Ghast tear                                                                              


SWIFTNESS :                 EFFECT :     Increases all player's movement 

                                        BREWING :  Awkward potion + sugar
               


SLOWNESS :                 EFFECT :      Player's movement are slowed to a crouch

                                        BREWING : Potion of swiftness + fermented spider eye



STRENGTH :                 EFFECT :     Increases melee damage by 1.5 hearts

                                        BREWING : Awkward potion + blaze powder 



WEAKNESS :                EFFECT :     Reduces melee damage by 2 hearts 

                                        BREWING : Water bottle + fermented spider eye



THICK :                          EFFECT :     none 

                                        BREWING : Glowstone dust + water bottle

                             Minecaft in general

Hey everyone!


As you can see, this blog is about a very famous game called 'Minecraft'.

Since this is my first time, today I will tell you about Minecraft in general.

Minecraft is a sandbox video game which was originally created by a Swedish programmer called 'Markus Notch Persson' and later developed and published by 'Mojang'. The creative and building aspects enables the players to build constructions on a 3D Generated world.

There are many types of game plays in Minecraft , among them are :

• Survival mode : Players must get resources to maintain health , to build the world and to survive.

• Creative mode: Players have unlimited resources to build and have the ability to fly.

• Adventure mode: Players can play in custom maps (worlds ) created by other players .

• Spectator mode : Players can fly around and clip through blocks , but cannot place any.
